Getting Connected to the Internet

What if I don't have an internet connection available all the time?

Connecting at Home

  1. Open the Chromebook and wait the 8 seconds for it to turn on.
  2. In the status area in the bottom right corner, click on the wi-fi icon. (see example below)
  3. In the box that appears, choose your home network.
    - If a password is required, type it in and hit Enter.

Connecting at School

  1. Open the Chromebook and wait the 8 seconds for it to turn on.​
  2. In the status area in the bottom right corner, click on the wi-fi icon.
  3. In the box that appears, choose BCSD.
  4. In the window that appears, verify/enter the following information, then click Connect​:
  • SSID (wireless network): BCSD
  • EAP: PEAP
  • Phase 2: MSCHAPv2
  • Certificate: Do not check
  • Identity: <username> (username used to log onto your computer)
  • Password: computer password.
